About this archive

About Broward Mugshots Daily

Broward Mugshots Daily is an independent website that organizes booking information supplied in Broward County booking blotters into date, agency, search, and statistical views. The goal is to make a large public-record dataset easier to navigate while keeping the limitations of booking data visible.

What the site publishes

The archive is organized around individual booking records. A record may include a booking date and time, a reporting or arrest-agency label, a JMS number, demographic fields as coded in the source, a booking photograph when available, and charges listed at the time of booking.

We also publish daily archive pages, agency views, weekly summaries, and monthly data reports. Those summaries are calculated from records currently available on this website, so totals can change after corrections or removals.

What a booking record does not tell you

A booking is an intake event. It is not a finding of guilt, a conviction, or a statement about the final outcome of a criminal case. Charges may be amended, dropped, dismissed, or resolved after the booking date. The site does not claim to provide current custody status or complete court-case history.

For that reason, our pages repeatedly distinguish booking information from case outcomes. Readers who need current court information should consult the appropriate official court or agency source.

How records are organized

Records are imported from supplied booking blotter files and grouped by the date and agency labels contained in those source records. We preserve the source wording where practical rather than guessing at agency identity or case status. Search is available by name, JMS number, agency, and booking date.

The archive is not represented as a complete count of every arrest in Broward County. Missing source dates, source corrections, duplicate handling, removals, and other data-quality issues can affect totals. Statistical pages therefore describe the records held by this website, not countywide crime rates.

Corrections and removals

We provide a free process for requesting a correction or removal. A request does not require a paid service or advertising relationship. When a record is removed, we also remove it from search and archive listings and prevent the individual record page from being served.

Independence and contact

Broward Mugshots Daily is not affiliated with Broward County, the Broward Sheriff’s Office, a court, or any law-enforcement agency. Advertising is kept separate from editorial, correction, and removal decisions.

Questions about the site can be sent through the contact page. For explanations of common booking-record terms, visit our booking-record guides.

Reproducible archive counts

The data explorer aggregates the records present in site search by booking date and exact source agency label. Its CSV contains no names, photos, or individual identifiers. A represented date is a date with at least one retained record; it is not a certification of complete collection.

Weekly comparisons use preceding non-overlapping windows of equal calendar length. Percent changes are shown only when both windows have a record on every date. Full date representation still cannot rule out missing bookings. Monthly coverage is displayed separately so partial months are identifiable.

Source labels are not inferred department identities. A city label, jail label, or court label may not answer which agency made the arrest. Use the official arrest or court record to confirm that question.
