How to check a Broward booking against official records

A mugshot page is a starting point. Before sharing a record or drawing a conclusion, identify the booking you are looking at and use the official resource suited to your question. This archive does not verify current custody or court outcomes in real time.

1. Save the identifiers, not just the name

Note the full name, JMS number, booking date and time, source agency label, and listed charges. A common name can match more than one person. A booking date is not necessarily the incident date, and the JMS number is not a court case number. Keep these fields separate when checking another system.

2. Choose the right official resource

Your questionWhere to startWhat to compare
Where can I look up an arrest record?BSO Arrest SearchCompare the returned record and identifiers with the booking you saved; do not select a person by name alone.
What is happening with the court case?Broward Clerk Case SearchUse party-name or case-number search, then compare the case information and dated docket entries.

This website has an incorrect or unwanted entry. Our free correction/removal formInclude this site's booking URL or JMS number so we can identify the entry.

3. Match the event before interpreting the result

A person can have multiple bookings and multiple court cases. A similar name, matching charge phrase, or nearby date alone is not enough to establish that two entries refer to the same event. If the identifiers conflict, keep the match unconfirmed. Do not attach another person's case outcome to a booking.

Read dates carefully. A later court entry can tell you something that the original booking snapshot could not. If a result is missing, that alone does not establish dismissal, expungement, release, or the absence of a case.

4. Separate allegations from outcomes

A charge shown at booking records an allegation or administrative entry at that stage. It does not tell you the final result. When describing a later court development, identify the specific case and date of the document rather than treating every charge as having the same outcome. For legal interpretation or an official determination, consult the court or a qualified professional.

5. Correct the right source

Our correction/removal form addresses what appears on Broward Mugshots Daily. Changing this website does not change a court record, agency database, or another publisher's page. If the error is in an official record, contact the office responsible for that record as well.

Provide the minimum details needed to identify the page and explain the issue. Do not send Social Security numbers, banking information, or unrelated private documents. Our correction/removal process is free and separate from advertising.
